Learning is understanding, not remembering

Understanding the essence is the true goal of learning, and in the process of understanding, knowledge becomes connected. The outcome of learning is not the amount of memorized facts but the ability to retrieve them when needed and connect them to other knowledge.

Do not try to enlarge the brain’s storage. Improve its retrieval. Notes and links are what support that retrieval from the outside.
